Good Afternoon to All,
I hope Everyone is having a good Sunday. Mine has so far been very nice. I had a walk, decided to go to the Farmer's Market in the town of Windsor which is about 5 miles south of where I live. Ours starts next Saturday, can't wait!! I got some fresh beets, lettuce & some Butternut Squash ravioli & a Fish Taco that I ate for lunch. The Farmer's Market in Windsor has really expanded there are more food vendors, order & eat there, more craft type booths & more vendor's selling cheese, meats & other types of food beside veggies & fruit. Not to much in the way of fruit yet, that is later in the summer. For dinner I am going to have the ravioli & a nice fresh green salad. Yummmmm!
Mary it sounds like you have had a busy weekend. I'm sure Jacob's party was a lot of fun? I'm glad you are enjoying my pictures. There is really an unending supply!!
The picture above is the bridge over Lake Sonoma which has formed from a dam built by the Corps of Engineers for flood control. I worked out there the year they finished the dam. It was a long process as somewhere in the evolution of building it the environmentalist stopped the whole thing. The Lake is used for recreation by boaters, water skiers, fishing, jet skiing, etc. There are several campgrounds around in different areas of the lake. The pictures I posted at another time of an old barn & a tree are taken way up the road after you cross this bridge. I'm just trying to share with all of you what this area looks like in different seasons & all the diversity of Sonoma county.
This is from the overlook where I also took a picture of the bridge. This is looking out at a very small portion of the Dry Creek valley. If you look close you can seem the roof on a few buildings which might be some wineries or just homes. It is obviously spring as it is all green!
Later!
Happy Reading,
Donna M
