Friday evening

Hi guys! It is good to see so many of us here! For those of you who took a guess, I only brought two books home from the library. When Gods Die by C.S. Harris and Winterkill by  C. J. Box (I am reading his 'Joe Pickett' series set in Wyoming.) We were busy with shelving at the library--lots of books coming back from the summer reading program which is done now.

My birthday is the same as Donna H's--Jan. 25

Sandi--I have read a lot of Barbara Michaels books. I think my favorite is The Master of Blacktower which is very gothic. The school Lauren and Jacob attend is part of the Goddard Schools chain. They don't all have  a private kindergarten. Fortunately, this one does. They had to pass all the requirements for the Mid-Atlantic accreditation  that is what the public schools have here in PA. It is amazing that there are so many differences around the country.

Donna H--I do have a pretty good memory except for things like 'what did I come into this room for'? :-)

Donna M--I love your pictures. We get deer around our neighborhood also. We saw a lily pond last week at the nature center we went to with the kids. It was beautiful with all the lilies blooming and tons of dragonflies. I read some of Joann Ross' books when she wrote for Temptation. Congrats to the Little League team and good luck tomorrow.

Margie--hopefully Gavin will like preschool better once he gets adjusted. I believe it is harder for boys. I know Lauren will love the fabric I found. I have been sewing since junior high school. I am one of those girls that took home ec. and it stuck when it came to sewing. My mom's sister taught me a lot as she was a great seamstress but mostly I am self taught.

Cady--I'm glad you enjoyed the first Gaslight mystery. I just finished the next one and it was good too. It is funny you mentioned being in a funk at work. Karen is going through the same thing and is also hoping she feels better after her vacation. Hope some time off helps you too.

Our farm markets are full of veggies and fruit right now. We live just up the road from Lancaster County which has some of the best farmland in the world. (It is the original  Amish country.) My brother and Karen get produce from NJ which is also great.

I finished reading Murder on St. Mark's Place by Victoria Thompson and enjoyed it. Not sure what I will read next but I have lots of choices.

Trudy--good to see you here. I hope the hurricane misses you or is at least not so bad. I haven't seen the new middle school. I hope your gs does well and likes the school.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Mary
