I'm writing as an outer band of Issac which is now more than 225 miles to the west of Tampa, is dumping a ton of rain on us. This is the way it's been all night and day. The east coast of the state really got it, including tornadoes which damaged a mobile home park. Issac probably won't make landfall at all in Florida but in LA on the anniversary of Katrina on Wed. Just what they don't need! Sandi, you still may get some of Issac as one computer model does run over east TX!
I packed up my dog and headed out to the causeway over the Intercoastal to escape the boredom. It was sunny, until we got out of the car. Then it was sunny again, until we got out of the car. Once we made it to the sidewalk along the road....... So much for that idea.
Donna~~Congratulations on your team becoming #3 in the world! I hope they realize that third place is nothing to sneeze at. It's like the bronze medal at the Olympics!
Did anyone watch America's Got Talent Wildcard elimination last week? Lindsey Norton goes to my church and is such a sweet girl. We're really proud of her!
No, my birthday isn't August 20; that's my grandson's, Mason Miner's birthday. My birthday is Dec. 3, a really horrible time of year to have a birthday!
I'm reading a re-issue by Hannah Howell, My Valiant Knight now. It's a medieval historical, no surprise there but she's the author who got me reading them and one of my favorite authors. She's written some good historicals that have taken place in pre-Revolutionary America that I've read as well. I do so love a strong heroine!
Sun's out already, can you believe it? I hope that if you're in the path of Issac, you stay safe.
Trudy
