Donna H--Good to hear your dd got a diagnosis and is being treated. I also started kindergarten at age 4 (I share the same birthday as you.) I don't know if there were any deadlines then. I managed to do well in school. In my graduating class there was actually one person younger than me. (his birthday was Jan. 31) I am the eldest of my siblings and was always mature for my age. I guess that helped. Karen also started at age 4 because the cut-off was Dec. 31 back then and her birthday is the 28th so she just made it. She had no problem. By the end of 1st grade she tested into the gifted program. Jeremy too and he started at 4 also. I always loved school as did Karen and now Lauren. Guess that's why I became a teacher. Jacob says he doesn't like school but he does well.
Cady--that is funny that you picked up the Gaslight book. Let us know what you think after you read it.
I am reading the second Gaslight mystery and enjoying it. Today I went to Jo-ann Fabrics because I needed supplies which I bought. I checked out new patterns for pjs for Lauren and had only intended to look but I found a pattern I liked that I will be able to use for years and some really pretty fabric for pjs. It is dark pink with butterflies and I think she will love it.
