I'm back! Computer not fixed right, Issac chasing me and RNC coming too but here I am! Missed you all terribly too!
Just about finished with Tara Road by Maeve Binchy, the Irish author who died recently. I really don't care for it. Very sad, scattered, covering many years and two countries. I hope her other books are better.
Saw on FB that Moncia MacCartry's new Highland Guard book The Recruit is available. I've read all the rest and I'll have to get that one too! Set in the time of Robert the Bruce, she makes the stories come alive and they are historically accurate.
Mason Miner, my younger son's older son, turned 12 on Aug. 20 so we have many birthdays to celebrate that day! Congrats to the both of you too! Mason will be going to the new middle school in Sinking Spring, Mary.
I had carpal tunnel surgery many years ago. It was no big deal and it helped a lot. If your daughter needs it, tell her not to be afraid of it. I also had cubitital tunnel surgery at the same time (elbows). I didn't have pain but my hands went numb. Still, the surgery is much improved from even when I had it done if you get a good surgeon and I had the best. I hope this helps.
The gov. is giving us an update on Issac now; at first, it was moving to the west but now, it is coming back to the east. Whatever happens, we are on the east side which is the WET side where all the rain and tornadoes are. It won't be a direct hit which is good but it will be a real exciting experience! Issac will be the third tropical system to hit Florida this year. T.S. Debby nearly flooded me out and I've lived here 22 years. This week, we've had torrential rains all week long until today and the ground is saturated. Where will the water go? Everyone is hoping that Issac gets ripped apart over Cuba but the water in the Gulf is 90 degrees and it could explode. Beware those of you who live in NC b/c Issac is coming your way too! Sandi, there is one lonely model that takes it to TX. And then there's the RNC coming to Tampa in the middle of it all......
Have a great weekend!
Trudy
