Sunday night

Hi Ladies!

Sorry I haven't stopped in.  I have been watching the Olympics:)  Have to say, tonight in the women's vault, everyone was having issues!  Our girl won silver, but everyone thought she was a shoo-in for gold.  Just proves you have to be at your best on any given day to win.

Cady -- How did the slumber party go?  Glad the kids weren't sick long - that's always a bummer when they are.  Enjoy your monday off!

Mary -- Did you get any of the rain we had?  Nasty lightning with it.  I saw on Facebook that people up at the Pocono race got hit.  Talk about scary!  Regarding the Phils - don't mind the Blanton trade, but hated to see Victorino and Pence go.

Trudy -- I hear ya about your school ring.  I can't fit into mine either, but sure don't want to sell it.  Will be curious what you get for your Pfaltzgraff.  I still have half of the set I had growing up and they still make this pattern.  I believe its the only one they still make.  The dishes definitely last a long time (mine are over 40 years old).  Sorry you couldn't see the clip of the Queen/JB.  I didn't realize they took it off.

Sandi -- How is your wrist?  Has it swollen up again?  When I hurt my ankle the other month, both  my gf Jen and my coworker insisted I didn't take aspirin for the swelling (of course, I don't remember why).  Since both are nurses, I did as told.  Take ibuprofen next time for the swelling.

Margie -- Glad your had a great trip to Disneyworld.  Can't wait to see any pictures you post.  And I agree with the "need a vaca from our vaca"  - lol!

DonnaM -- Love your pictures, as always.  Great one of the grandkids.  Gotta love them.  I have to agree that I liked ABC's coverage of the Olympics better than NBC.  We don't get to choose though.  I do love that Mike Emrick is doing the commentating for the water polo teams.  He use to do the play-by-play for my Flyers and still does NHL games for a number of networks.  An all-time fav to listen to for me.  And I want to be Mary Carillo.  She gets sent to do the coolest things.  Did you see the story she did on James Bond?  Would have loved to gone for a ride in that car!

Well, I did finish Wuthering Heights.  Can't say I would ever read it again.  Still didn't care for any of the characters by the end of the book.  The story pulls you in, but you wonder why when there is no one to root for.  I guess I'm not much for reading about tortured souls?  Maybe somebody will explain to me why its a classic one day. Would like to see what the houses/ground where it takes place looks like at that time.  Now, I'm reading a Blaze.  Needed a fun book after that one, that's for sure.

Didn't do anything really this weekend.  Mostly watched the Olympics.  Did do three loads of wash today.  Considered it my workout since I hung it all and was in a total sweat each time I came in.  It was hot and humid today, before the rain came in.  Hoping when I open the door, its a bit cooler.

Talk to y'all later!

Amanda
