I had to go back 2 pages to find where I left off last time. I simply MUST get here more often! {:-)
Sandi, my parents celebrated 68 years of marriage in June. They just stayed quietly at home. I doubt if my mom will last another 2 years to 70. Her spirits are good, but she can do less and less each time we see them. We're going up again in Sept. to celebrate her 90th birthday. Truthfully, I will be surprised if she makes it through this coming winter.
The granddaughters who were using my calligraphy pens are 9 & 11. They actually did a pretty good job.
My daughter with the sore shoulders goes back to the dr. next Thurs. She's thinking he's going to tell her it's fibromyalgia, as it's in the family, plus all the symptoms match. I've been rubbing her with a medicated heating ointment. I don't know if it's helping her, but the arthritis in my fingers feels better. . .
Donna M, I hope you had a good Birthday. Sorry I'm late in saying "Happy Birthday". My favorite food group is the Dark Chocolate! {:-)
Mary, Belated Happy Anniversary to you! Seems I'm late with all the greetings this week. . .
Cady, my daughter seems to be a little better now that I'm massaging her with a medicated ointment every day. Also, thinking she now knows what it probably is seems to be helping, too.
I had reserved all the Bullet Catchers series at the library. First one came in, and then another, so I figured this would be pretty good. Well, when I took the first one back, there were 3 more waiting for me, and a few days later when I took the second one back, there were 4 more. I think I only have one more coming and then I've got them all. I'm almost finished the 3rd one -- am not reading them in order -- and so far I've enjoyed all 3 of them.
Healdsburg was in the news up here just the other day, but for the life of me I can't remember what the story was about.
I'd love to pay $4.19/gal for gas. We're paying $1.27/litre up here right now, and that adds up to more than $5/gal.
I've had 3 sessions with the physiotherapist now, and this morning I thought he was going to twist my arm right off. Sheesh! I don't remember it hurting that much the last time I was going there (same reason). We have a friend named Andrew who lost his arm in an auger accident when he was 8. I told Hardy that I now knew what Andrew feels like as I couldn't even lift my arm to put my sweater on after Wade was done. I was like the one-armed-bandit for more than half the day.
I've got 3 of the grandchildren here for a sleep-over tonight, and in the morning 2 more will be coming to play with these 3. Hopefully that will keep them out of my hair as I've got 30 people coming for a wiener roast tomorrow evening, too. (I guess that's what I get for having the biggest back yard in the family. . .) They're bringing most of the food, so that's not a problem, but I still have to clean my house.
