Monday

Sandi - Happy Birthday, sounds like you got a lot of good wishes, makes Monday a bit more enjoyable.  Your kitchen sounds great.  I imagine that this will save you money too, as now you know more what you have on hand.

DonnaM - How fun about the Little League team.  It would add some excitement to the area, I am sure.

Amanda - Pro Football, I swear is the worst for cost.  Our pro baseball and basketball teams we can still get tickets for about $20 - add four and that is still an expensive afternoon or evening, but if you are lucky, you can get Packer's tickets for $50, more likely $75 or $100 for a game, then add parking and the rest - out of reach for most families.  We actually went to the Brewers on Sunday - awesome as Mike had gotten tickets from a work client that couldn't use them, all we had to do was get the parking and the concessions - and we tailgated before the game, so we didn't buy that much there.  Too bad the Brewers aren't very good this year - game was 8-0, so not much fun, but the kids enjoyed themselves.

DonnaH - Sounds like your wienerroast went well.  I love when I have everything done early and can relax for a bit before they come, makes everything better.

We had a fun weekend - went to an Irish Festival on Friday, babysat for some friends on Saturday (was their anniversary and their sitter fell through) and then the Brewers Game on Sunday.  Read a Lucy Monroe Presents - Heart of the Desert Warrior I think, it was good, but my mood has been more mysteries, so then I started another Elizabeth Peters book.

As for the pictures before school, truthfully, I don't know why they do it that way.  Maybe to help ensure that parents come to fill out all the forms.  Truthfully, they could simply send it all to us and we could drop off before school starts, but I guess it is a tradition.  I am a bit annoyed as they changed our orientation and now it is in September and the date we were given in August is just to drop off school supplies.  Truthfully, don't know why I need two evenings for this and I have heard they don't want the kids there for orientation, which means one of us will likely stay home with kids and not even meet the teacher.  Not sure why they are going to tell us what to do in the class two weeks after school starts rather than before school starts, but am trying to just suck it up.

I have been in a bit of a funk lately, getting annoyed about stupid stuff (see above), just feeling kind of out of sorts.  Whenever, I realize it I am trying to take a deep breath and do some relaxation techniques, but forgive me it I nag a bit.

Hopefully everyone has a good Monday.

Cady
