Hi everyone!
Donna M--I have been on that drive through Oak Creek Canyon! Your pictures brought back good memories. On our drive that day we stopped to look at jewelry that the Hopi Indians were selling (that they had made.) I of course bought earrings! Sedona was also beautiful. We have been to Arizona twice and I would love to go back. It is difficult for young adults to find full-time work. I have a few friends whose adult children are experiencing that problem. Thank goodness Karen and Jer graduated college in the late 90s when jobs were more plentiful and they still have them. It is great that you have such a good relationship with your grandson. Karen was very close with both her grandmothers into adulthood. She still misses them.
Cady--that's great that Mike has his car already. And hopefully your airbag problem will be fixed shortly for good. Thai food is a little too spicy for me but I do enjoy other Asian food. There is a Vietnamese restaurant near us that has good food. And of course the Chinese ones. I always enjoy the tea, how they bring out the pot and the little cups. Enjoy The Kingdom if you get to read it this weekend.
Sandi--thank you for the link. I will have to go back and read the article.
Not much happening around here. I did some house work today. I also did quite a bit of reading. I am really enjoying Crystal Gardens and will probably finish tonight. I am looking forward to my afternoon with Karen on Sunday. I hope everyone has a good weekend!
Mary
