LATE Sunday evening. . .

It's very late Sunday evening, Mother's Day. . .  it's almost done, and this is the first time I've had a minute to myself to do anything I wanted.

I don't know about down there, but up here anyone over 65 can get a free park pass for their vehicle.  Entitles you to enter all the provincial parks in all the provinces.

Calgary is a 9 hour drive from us.  I'm getting excited about going, and starting to plan when I'm going to pack, and what I'm going to take, and my daughter phoned and said she needs a babysitter for Tues. & Wed.  I agreed to babysit Tues, but I'm not changing my plans at this late date.  My other daughter would have gladly babysat for her, but she starts a new job tomorrow, so won't be available. 

Thank you for the mountain pictures!  They are great!  I love the way they just poke up out of the trees -- BOOM!  Here I am!  {:-)  The flower pictures are very pretty, too.  Thank you for giving them to us!  {:-)

We went to visit Hardy's mom in the nursing home this afternoon.  Hardy usually goes several times/week, sometimes I go along and sometimes I stay home, but today we both went, and his brother and sister and their spouses were there, too.  We had an icecream cake. 

Cady, wow!  You've certainly had your share!  But I'm glad everyone is well again, and that your husband didn't get hurt.  Will insurance pay for another car, or is this something else to add to the pile? 

Yum!  I love chocolate chip cookies, especially home-made ones!  I really fell off the wagon today.  Not only did I have a small piece of icecream cake this afternoon, I also had a small piece of black forest cake which my daughter brought when they came over this evening.  I was hoping I'd have lost 10 lbs before we go to Calgary, but I've only lost 6.5, so there's no way I'm going to lose 3.5 in two days.  {:-( 

Im sure I'm missing something, or someone, but when I went back to see if I missed any posts, I seemed to have read them all.  Anyhow, I'm not sure when or if I'll get back here before we leave.  If I don't, we'll be gone till next Tues. evening, May 22nd, and I'm sure I'll come back full of all kinds of things I did and said.    I'm supposed to be meeting Kaelee from the eH boards for coffee, so I still have to set that up.
