Tuesday Night May1st

Amanda,  I hope your Monday turned out to be a good one.

DonnaM,  The facilities at the winery are beautiful but my goodness that is a lot and to not include food!   Many  years ago there was the Almaden Winery here that was a huge employer so when they closed, a lot of people lost their jobs.  Its been only in more recent years that a lot of new wineries have started to pop up.  Some are small but some also have facilities for parties too.  I'm sure the costs are outrageous as well. Yikes Donna those are a lot of stairs.   Loving the pictures.  The one with the pink blossoms is so pretty.  I have a cousin who lives in Shasta Lake.  I believe that is just below Mt. Shasta.  I've seen pictures and it looks so pretty.  They really enjoy living there.

Cady,  I really like your bedding.  Brown and blue have always been a favorite color combination.  Right now I have no bedding.  I just have a really thick blanket type of throw.  The purples are my favorite colors but my last bedding was plum so I'm not sure if I want to change it up or not.

DonnaH, Congratulation son the weight loss.  Two pounds is great.  Hey, no need to apologize about laughing about the air bag story.  It was very funny at the time.  My dad left for his meeting and we were all just laughing at the image of his sausage egg cheese mcmuffin going flying.  It ended up in the back seat.  My dad smelled really odd like sulfur or something.  I think it was the gun powder or whatever they use to explode the airbags because my car reeked of it.  It was very funny.  I know what you mean about wanting your reading time.  I love to read on Sundays too....and take naps too and you can't do that when someone stops by.

Lucky you having all those fruit trees and berries.  I'm so jealous!  My parents used to have plum, peach, pear, and cherries so I would get lots of fresh fruit.  We were really surprised to find that the house here had a cherry tree.  My friend gave me an apricot tree as a house warming gift recently and I will be planting it this weekend.  I want to buy a Satsuma plum tree.  My dad had one of those and I love them.  They are so delicious.  Yum...sweet and juicy.  I found out that you have to have a pollinator.  There are about four or five suggested plums trees.  I'm not sure if I want two plums so I'm thinking of planting one of those that have three different trees grafted together.  I can get one that has the plum that will work with the Satsuma and I will get two other fruits in one tree.  I'll do that next year.

Sandi,  I hope everything is okay and you are just busy reading!

I'm half way through Celebrity In Death.  I'm loving it.  It is about a murder of a movie star who is cast in a movie about a case Eve worked.  The characters in the movie are portraying Eve and her gang.

I like the idea of reading book with a mom in May.  I will need to find one after CID.  I don't think any of the books I have are about a mom.

Margie :)
