Good Afternoon,

Right now I sort of feel like the storm clouds in the picture!!  I've had one of those days that hasn't been bad but somewhat frustrating.  I thought coming to visit with all of you might help.   :-)  I thought the clouds in this picture were very interesting.  It was taken on a day that was promising rain, probably in maybe February or so of last year.  It is in an area known as Alexander Valley.

Cady, I have to confess that when I was looking at the picture of your bedroom with the comforter, pillows etc.  I failed to notice the books!!  Yes, I went back to look!.  My bed is really old, I bought it before I was married.  I picked out one that has a bookcase headboard & yes, it is filled with books!  Or mostly, I do still have some room but I don't put books in the section above my head as we do live in earthquake country!  The two sections that have sliding doors are chuck full of books, can't squeeze more in.  My nightstand is in the living room serving as a printer table because there is no room in my bedroom for the nightstand.  It actually works very well for the printer & is out of the way behind a chair.  This apartment is very small which means I had to be creative in many respects.  My computer is also here in the living room because I had to work with a phone connection.  Most people that live here don't have computers so that was never considered when they were being built in 1980.

Sandi, I hope I can remember how to post a book cover next time I decide to do that!  I've read some older books so I didn't try to post the covers.  How are you doing with Richard & Elijah there?  I'm sure there are going to be adjustments for everyone.  Have fun at the authors dinner tonight.  Let us know how it goes & who you talk to.  That reminds me, do you still do a blog for Fresh Fiction?  If so I would like to get back to reading it.  Are you going to RWA this year?

I took a neighbor to her doctor appointment in Santa Rosa today.  That adventure was a small part of the frustration but the worst of it was later!  Anyway, on the way home there was a wreck on the freeway when we were fairly close to home.  I had seen what I thought was an emergency vehicle come onto the freeway but it was far enough ahead I could tell what it was.  Turned out to be an ambulance.  We came to a point where traffic was at a stand still,  we had to all move over to the right to let two fire trucks by that were answering the call.  I  was wondering if there was a threat of fire.  Lucky us we were near an exit that took us on the old hwy. & a kind trucker let us in in front of him so we exited off & did not see the crash.  While waiting at the stop light at the bottom of the exit I could vaguely see the firemen moving around near some bushes.  My guess is someone might have been going to fast & went over the edge or flipped.  I'm hoping to see something in the paper tomorrow.  A sheriff was on the scene directing traffic to that exit.

Margie, Lake Shasta is pretty & of course gets it name because of the proximity to Mt. Shasta.  I don't travel I-5 very often because I hate all the truck traffic & the stretch between Williams & Redding is one of those long, long roads that seems like it will never end.  Of course it is on that stretch of highway that you get your first views of Mt. Shasta.  It is a spectacular sight on a clear day.  Since it is such a tall mountain it often has clouds around it so you can't see the top.  It is always nice to see it.

That is it for me.  I forgot to let you know that I won all the Blaze books for April.  I've won them before so I am surprised that they choose me again.  I love knowing that I have books coming.  There is also an order with Amazon that should be shipping any day.  Yea!!!

I'm signing off for now.  Have a great evening.  I'll leave you with another picture.

This was taken on a very cloudy day also but is showing the setting sun.  My camera didn't quite capture the color like I wanted it too but I still like how menacing those clouds look.  Taking pictures of clouds is a challenge but I have managed to get a few interesting ones.  The more pictures I take the more I learn.

Bye,
Donna M
