Reading lots. . .

I finished The Rookie's Assignment in the Fitzgerald Bay series, and am almost done The Detective's Secret Daughter, same series.  I only have 2 more to read after that before I'll be ready for the last one, which hopefully is on it's way to me by now.  I can't seem to understand how come it takes a full week for an eH order to be shipped out when a couple of years ago the order went out within 2 days, and sometimes even the same day you ordered.

I picked up Born in Fire by Nora Roberts at the Library yesterday.  I'm going to look for the other two in the series as well, I think.  And reserve The Witness also.

I need to get me that Julie Miller marine intrigue book.  It never fails.  The day after I put my order in I get ideas on 2 or 3 more books, but if I order just 3 books, I have to pay postage.  I usually order enough books so I get free postage.  Then even with just 20% discount, it's worth it to order from eH.

I lost a total of 4 lbs this week.  It was hard, but also encouraging.  It has shown me that I can do it.  But even better is my bg (blood glucose) has been in the 5 - 6 range all week.  I looked back at my records, and it hasn't been below 8 first thing in the morning in about 4 years.  I've tested at other times of the day as well, and it's even better, sometimes getting close to 4.  Anything lower than 4 and you need to eat something right away.  My coach told me it would work, and she told me I'd get my energy back, too.  That's coming a little slower, but I can still notice that I'm feeling better already, even if it has only been a week.

Donna M, LOVE those COOL tree pictures!!!  {:-)

Mary, I'm on the Tell H list, too, but they haven't sent me anything in ages.  They sent a couple of questionaires about lines I don't read.  Maybe they won't send me any more books because I told them I didn't read any of the ones they asked about. . .

Margie, the grass in those pictures is only about 1/10th of our yard.  We have 1 1/2 acres.  We also have a riding mower.  {:-)

Amanda, that is a cool bear.  {:-)  At first glance I thought he was real, and the picture was just showing the pixels or whatever those little squares of color are called.  BTW, your email address is the only one of our group I don't have.  If you could email me, that would be great.  I put all the addresses into one group in my address book so when I send out an email, I just type in the group name and it gets everyone.  I did it with Dream Team, and WAYRN, and I'd like to do it with Readers United, too.

I had to do some calligraphy on a wedding certificate this morning for our pastor.  I was on the last name and I spelled it wrong.  I've been trying to show our pastors the certificates I've done on my computer for ages, so I took the chance -- I printed it up on nice cream-colored card stock with a white inside, fancy lettering, and tied it all together with a white ribbon.  He had brought me another certificate, but when he saw the one I had done, he took his back, and the happy couple is getting the one I made on my computer.  {:-)

Well, I've relaxed long enough.  Now I need to go tidy up my house a little before we can't even get in the door. . .  {;-)
