Thursday morning

Good morning everyone!

Good to see everyone here. Cady has not been here for a while. Hope all is well.

Margie--sorry about your phone problems. Sometimes you find strange things when you move into a older home. Our electrical is a crazy quilt in this house. We are still learning how it is all hooked up even after almost 25 years! Of course you only find out when problems arise.

Trudy--glad to hear you have a/c right now. I know that freon is expensive. We have been getting our a/c recharged for a few years. We will have to get a new one soon. But we will also have to replace the furnace so are trying to put it off as long as possible. We donate every year for the hunger drive in May. The thing I can't understand is that most of our neighbors never donate. Oh well...

Amanda--this has not been a good week for Philly sports! Sorry about your Flyers. I think I will stop watching the Phils for a while. Sigh....

Donna H--it sounds like your dessert night was a success. What books did you receive from Tell H? The ones I got I am really not interested in reading. They are two Brenda Jackson books. This is an author I don't read but more importantly they are books from two of her long-running series and I don't like reading books from a series I am not following.

Donna M--I would like to make another trip out west some day. Our last trip out there was in 97 so it has been a while. I would love to see California. I did watch DWTS. I was disappointed to see Melissa Gilbert leave. She was not one of the top dancers but she improved this week. I really don't like Maria but I do like Katherine and Donald. William doesn't do much for me.

I finished The Witness last night (or early this morning!) It was excellent. I really liked the h/H and how Nora handled portraying someone like Elizabeth/Abigail. It is a long book but her books have no boring spots so it didn't take long to read. Not sure what I am reading next. I need to find a mom book. I like the idea of a dad book for June. Did my library volunteering yesterday. Lots of movies to get ready for processing and did some shelving.

I hope you are all having a good week. It is almost the weekend!

Mary
