Good Afternoon,
Where is Everyone? Busy, probably like me! I was busy spending money but only on some necessary things. The picture above is of Yosemite Falls taken from across the valley floor. This is only a small portion of the falls. Yosemite Falls actually has 3 drops, the Upper, Middle & Lower, it is the highest measured falls in North America falling 2,425 ft. It wasn't much more than a large trickle in this picture but still a sight to see! When I went back in June it was the difference between turning on your kitchen faucet & water pouring out of a fire hydrant. I just wish I could post the June pictures here because the difference is amazing. I'm so glad I got to see them when there was a huge snow melt which fills them up. There were places in June that I couldn't get to due to the mist from the waterfall or because it was so huge & the creek below had taken up a much larger path. Can you all tell I love Yosemite & all the other National Parks I've been able to see?. Eventually I will get around to posting some pictures from my trip last fall.
My busy was I needed a change of scenery, needed some things I prefer to buy at Trader Joe's & Whole Foods in Santa Rosa, so off I went!! The car is air conditioned, the apartment is not!! I didn't get anything exciting but did get the things I wanted/needed. Next week I start one of my pet/house sitting jobs which means I have to get myself ready to go there. I'll still be in touch, as you know, because I come home to check mail, email, phone messages. All that good stuff. They will be gone 16 days. Not to long after they come back I will leave for Oregon. My granddaughters graduation is June 11. I will probably be gone 10 days to 2 weeks then. Depends on how long I stay at my daughter's & then at my cousins.
My Amazon order came today & I also picked up a book I had requested at the library. Right now I have an abundance of books with more coming! The Blaze books I won have not come yet so I will have an overflow! That won't last long though as I do a lot of reading when I pet sit. This place is kind of a challenge because Pamela has Celiac's disease and I can't eat any of things she can't have as it causes cross contamination on the silverware, dishes, etc. no matter how clean you try to get them. Last time I was there I ate their leftovers & what they had in the cupboards which worked out well. Some of the dishes were very tasty!! It is kind of a challenge for me because you don't realize how many things have wheat, oats, etc. in it that she can't have.
It is warm here! Wish there was a cooling trend coming but so far none in the forecast. It is pushing high 80's to low 90's which is much to warm for me.
