Hi Everyone...

Testing, to light!    Another test!  Better!!

I'm glad to see all the posts here catching up with "you all!".

The picture above was taken last summer when I went with my daughter & her family over to the Oregon coast.  It looked like this almost the whole day, sun started really coming out as we were leaving in the late afternoon.  Despite the foggy weather it wasn't cold or windy.  We had fun on the beach.  More to follow!!

Amanda, great family photo.  You all look wonderful.  I hope you had a good time at the wedding.  Weddings are fun, I think but I can see that Aurora might want to spend her birthday another way.  I'm sure you made up for it or will!!  Sorry about your Flyers.

Margie, the book you told us about my Marliss (I forget the last name!) sounds good.  I like books about the SEALS.  It has to be difficult living with a military man when they are deployed  I'll have to go back to your post & see the name of the book & author.  Disappearing plants!  Oh no!!  That is always disappointing.  I've had plants completely consumed by bugs overnight.  I was so bummed!  Now I have no space for any plants.  Sometimes I miss having a few but then I have nothing to worry about when I am gone.  The second Boonsboro Inn book is on my TBR shelf, that one & several others are going with me to my pet sitting job that starts tomorrow.  I like to save books I know will be hard to put down for those times because I can do a lot of reading knowing there is not something calling to me that should be done!!

Donna H, to me a monolith is something huge.  The dictionary says:"a single large block of stone or any massive, unyielding structure."  That is a very apt description for much of Yosemite.  Two of the best known are Half Dome & El Capitan.  Have a great trip to Calgary.  I hope you enjoy the trip & the visit  It will be fun to hear about it when you get back.  Yum, Ice Cream cake & Black Forest Cake, sounds yummy!  I think it is okay to slip up sometimes.  I have a difficult time saying no to yummy stuff!!  The 6.5 pounds you have lost is great.

Cady,  you will have to keep us posted on what kind of car Mike decides to get.  I'm happy to hear you got more than you thought you would.  Always a nice surprise.  It sounds like you had a good weekend.  What is Mike doing for a car now?

My Mother's Day was quiet as my daughter was working.  We are going to get together on Wednesday evening for dinner.  Dustin too, my oldest grandson.  He is so funny, I talked to both of them yesterday.  My daughter in Oregon worked outside with her family all day getting the patio ready for summer use.  They were having warmer weather than here!  Rather unusual!!!  I did fix myself an easy dinner but tasty.  I have no idea what I am having tonight as the brain has just not had any brilliant suggestions!

Here is a picture of my granddaughter playing around on the beach!  This is at a little creek or run off that flows into the ocean.

Happy Monday, good reading,
Donna M
