It worked, I think!

Okay, if there's a picture here, it is of our youngest daughter's wedding, which took place in our back yard.  I am the one in black and white standing beside the bride.  My oldest son's wife is in the light turquoise on the other side of the bride, and my middle daughter is in the long red dress.  My husband, Hardy, is behind and between Joy and myself.  My oldest son is directly behind my daughter in the red, and my youngest son is behind the lady in the red sweater, who is the groom's mother. If you look really closely, you can see the train just coming out from behind the tree branch directly behind us.  That is how close we live to the tracks.  When the engineer realized a wedding was going on, you should have heard him on the whistle. . .  {:-)

Donna M, thank you for the mountain picture -- it is gorgeous!  I love mountain pictures, but would have a terrible time living there.  Hardy has a brother and a sister who live in the mountains in BC, and about all I can manage to stay there is 3 days.  Then the mountains start pressing on me, and I have to leave.  Gorgeous blossoming trees, too!  I'm going to tell all my friends that I'm vacationing in California. . .  {:-)

We've had most of our kids move in and out at various times.  Some with spouses, some with kids, but we're used to our privacy now, so it would be much more stressful should it become necessary again.

Cady, very nice, rich-looking bedding!  Blue is my favorite color.  We're due for some new bedding, but painting comes first.  Your night table looks like the wall all down my whole side of the bed.

We love lilacs, too.  Our neighbor has a couple of white lilac bushes that hang over into our yard, so every spring I have all kinds of bouquets in the house.

Thank you for the good wishes in losing weight.  I know how hard it is.  Somehow you lose a few pounds, and before you know it, they're back and bringing friends. . .  but this time I'm determined!  They're going to STAY gone!!!

My "Mom in May" challenge story is Sunrise Point.  I finished it today, so I can count it.  I just loved Nora.  Single mom with 2 babies, pulling herself up from a horrible upbringing and being honest about it.  And Tom and his bears. . .  I also like the way Robyn Carr brought more people into the town so she's got at least 2 more stories that could come out of this one.  {:-)

Sandi, sure as anything, the first time you have to take Elijah anywhere, his car seat will be in the behicle that's not home.  We bought our own seats and boosters, too.

They changed your working hours AGAIN?  Don't those people have anything else to do but make your life miserable?

I imagine by now you all got the emails from Trudy and Mary saying that all is well, but they're having trouble getting here.

I came home last night from my executive meeting with a bag full of journals.  The woman who's house we were at works for some kind of a publishing company, and they make all kinds of little hard-cover books that people can write in.  She gets tons of samples, and all of us came home loaded down with dozens of these cute little books.  All my daughters, granddaughters, and sisters will get some.  {:-)

Well, here goes, I'm going to "publish" and see what happens.  Have a good day tomorrow, everyone!  {:-)
