Tuesday night

Good news, sort of!  I have a/c! temporarily.  Yesterday, I found a company willing to work with me and someone came this afternoon. He feels it isn't my condenser.  However, he ended up filling my system up with freon (4 lbs @ $97/lb) and dye to see where I'm leaking.  Now, we wait until it runs out.  He said a couple weeks; I said 10 days tops.  I paid him $350 cash with more to come the next time.  I spoke with the owner yesterday and he said he'd handle the financing in-house.  As for my family, my sister also told me the same thing as my son did two years ago; you'd think they'd be happy that I got to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip but, no, they have to make me feel like crap!  Thank you for your support!  It's nice to have some friends!

I'm reading The Prize by Julie Garwood right now.  I literally pulled this book, along with a bunch of VHS movies, out of a woman's junk-filled trunk in Dec. when I was helping her put free food in it.  The story takes place in 1066 and she is the prize of capture in the Norman conquest of England.  But it's really more than that because she's more than just a captive as it turns out after she becomes the wife of a Norman knight.

I was wrong about the RITA nominee book.  It was Eloisa James' book, When Beauty Tamed the Beast and it was very good.

Those photos of Yosemite are fantastic!  I'd love to see it sometime.  I've been to the Grand Canyon three times and would love to go back there too.  Unfortunately, there's no national park near me or I'd be there, signing up for me free lifetime pass since I'm now 65 so I could get into all of our national parks.  We have so much to see in this country.  Has anyone seen the National Parks series that was on PBS last year?  It was really good.

Sat is the Post Office's "Stamping Out Hunger" Day.  I hope you all are planning on filling the bag your letter carrier gives you this week with non-perishible foods and putting it out.  Me, I'll be with Oldsmar Cares all day unloading all 21 mail trucks from Oldsmar as they come in.  This year we'll be at our new place out in the hot sun (88 predicted high).  We expect 8 tons of food.  It will be gone by July.

It's almost midnight  so I'll close.  Nice talking to you all again.  I miss you.

Trudy
