Hi Everyone

It's been a few days since I've been here.  Had a terrible time catching up as the new month started, and I lost a few posts -- er, couldn't find them.  Won't take long to post this as I need to head to town.  I've got an executive meeting in Regina tonight and we're carpooling, so I need to be there by 3 p.m. and have to get my business done before then, too.

Margie, your new library sounds wonderful!  Our is newly renovated due to the flood we had here 2 years ago.  Can't believe it took them 2 years to renovate as it looks the same as it did before.

I know exactly how you feel about getting the books from eHarlequin or from a store.  Our Walmart now has 30% discount on pocketbooks, but then try and find what you're looking for.  Mostly they carry those ugly great big ones that have horrible covers, and have nothing but blood and gore in them.  And our Superstore advertises new releases, but most of their books are hardcover.  No way am I spending my $$ on a hard cover when the words inside are the same as a paperback. . .

I love the pictures of your new house!  You've only got one cherry tree?  Hardy has gone "fruit-tree mad" -- we have 7 cherry trees, 2 pear trees, 2 plum trees, an apple tree, and 25 saskatoon bushes.  I told him I'd deal with the fruit once it came into the house, but no way was I going out there and picking.  Oh yeah, I forgot, we've also got an 8' x 20' raspberry patch. . .

We're getting an above-ground pool, too -- at least that's what my daughter tells me.  Her trampoline is here because they have no room in their small yard, and she's determined that she needs a pool, too.  Good thing we've got the room for all her "toys".

Cady, an airbag light?  I didn't know there was such a thing.  Surely if there was danger to you they'd let you know.

Who's airbag story was that?  Thank you for the chuckle -- though I doubt it seemed funny at the time.

Donna M, we have to re-do our waterfall this year, so that waterfall picture gave me great ideas.  Thanks!  And the flowers are beautiful, too!

I'm still not done Sunrise Point.  Just haven't had time to read, and if I did, my eyes ended up closing.

I found out after church on Sunday that my middle daughter, her sig. other, and 3 of her kids, as well as my youngest daughter and her 2 girls were coming for dinner.  Nice.  And of course after dinner they all sat and visited -- which I don't really mind, but Hardy always goes and visits his mother with his sister and dbil, so he took off.  It gave the girls a chance to use my new dishwasher. . .  (but that's when I read, so missed out on that).

I've got a google account that I use for getting here, but I've never used it for anything else.  Truthfully, I wouldn't know how.

Oh.  My.  Goodness!!!!! I'd have had a heart attack going up -- or down -- that many stairs!!!  And you actually made it?  Wow!  You're in a whole lot better shape than I am.

I started a new weight-loss program last week.  Sat, actually.  I've lost 2 lbs already, but what really has me excited is that they try and balance your body chemistry and your homones.  I can tell already that things are better.  My blood glucose tests have consistently gone down.  I know the US numbers are different, but I've gone from consistently being in the 9 - 10 range down to 6.1 which is normal for the first time in months -- years, even.  That would be in US numbers something like going from 300 down to 95.  We've started walking again, so that should improve even more, the more weight I can lose, and the more exercise I get.

Many apologies if I forgot anyone.

DonnaH
