Margie, I looked up Dinkey Creek online, it is spelled Dinkey. It is on Hwy. 40 off 167 near Shaver Lake. It is close to Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park. If you look it up you can check out pictures etc. I had never heard of it. It also gave Bass Lake as a place to stay. I've been to Bass Lake which is near Oakhurst. I have pictures I took at Bass Lake but I haven't figured out how I can post them here as they aren't with my other pictures on Picasa. Long story behind that!!
You can't tell in this picture but this hollowed out fallen tree is big enough to walk through! I did it!! This is still at Calaveras Tall Trees State Park.
