Early Friday evening, 5/11/2012...

Hello to Everyone,

Today's pictures will probably be the last in Yosemite!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing some of the spectacular parts of such a special place.  The is another view of Yosemite Falls.  I like this one!

Cady, I'm glad to see you here & glad your family is all over the flu now.  That sounds like a week that you are glad is over.  Good to hear that Mike did not get hurt.  Even though cars can be replaced it is all still a hassle.  More problems with your car, more hassle.  I hope you have an extra special pampered Mother's Day to make  up for such a stressful week.

Mary, yum home made cookies.  What kind did you make?  Please let us know how Lauren's dance recital goes.  It is so special to see the grandkids perform.  My granddaughter took ballet when she was still fairly young.  She was a cutie in her ballet costume.  I'm sure Lauren is also.

Today I broke out of my rut to go to a movie with a friend.  We went to see The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  It was as good as the ads make it look!  We laughed out loud a lot!!  After the show we walked over to the Yogurt Time place by the theater & treated ourselves, laughed about the movie & visited for a while before driving home.  The movie was not playing here in town so we had to go to Santa Rosa to see it.  It was worth the trip.  The movie, in my opinion, is for the "older" crowd that can relate to retirement.  It was a very fun way to spend the afternoon.

Here is another picture of Yosemite Falls at the bottom of the lower falls.  When I took this picture I was fairly close to where is splashes down.  The next time I went when the waterfalls were so full of water I couldn't get any closer than a bridge that crosses the creek formed by the falls.  The area you see in this picture was either underwater or like being in a very heavy rainfall!  I coined a phrased saying I got "waterfalled"!!  Even staying on the bridge the mist was so heavy my shirt & camera got wet.  I was mostly concerned for the camera.  The shirt would dry.

Have a great weekend.  I hope each of you have a very special Mother's Day.

Happy reading,
Donna M
