Wednesday, May 9, 2012...

Hello to All,

So nice to see all these posts.

The picture is more of Yosemite Falls, I think this is the middle section.  Trudy, a free pass to the National Parks.  I know veterans can get them are there others that qualify?  My lifetime pass cost $10, a great investment.   :-)  Donna H, those are not really mountains they are the huge granite monoliths that make Yosemite so famous.  It is awesome to see them in person as there is just no way you can imagine how huge they are.  I wish you could all come out west to see some of these places.  Couldn't we just have a ball sight seeing!!!

Donna H, thanks for sharing the yummies both the Lemon Meringue & the Pumpkin Cheesecake.  I would enjoy both!  It seems like your dessert night was a success.  I love a speaker that can make you laugh even if it is over something serious.  Enjoy your time in Calgary.  How far away is that from you?

Amanda, good to see you here.  They don't cancel practice for Lacross when it rains?  I never have understood why some sports cancel in rain other just play.  Like football, doesn't matter what the weather is doing they play, rain, heat, snow, ice!  I suppose they might cancel for a hurricane or tornado!!!  Speaking of which!!  My high school colors were red & black for the Black Tornadoes.  We usually had a good team, took a few state championships.  One year when we played a big rival the game was on their turf on the coast, it rained!  Boy did it rain, they had to change jersey's at half time but before the end of the 3rd quarter you could no longer read the numbers on the jerseys of the players due to the mud.  It was quite the experience.  I went with a friend on a booster bus, watched the game & back on the bus to go back home.  Long night but we were young, no big deal!!!  Fun memories, I don't remember who won or what year it was.  But I remember those muddy players & the rain.

Margie, glad your phone/internet connection is solved for now.  Some times the jack is not a true jack but just a cover for the wires.  I have a jack in my bedroom that doesn't work!  Sooooo helpful.  I think the building management should take care of those things.  Since I don't really need it I've never mentioned  it.

Trudy, glad to see you were able to stop in & so happy for you that you have air conditioning & a possible solution to it all.  I had no idea that Freon is that expensive.  I know it is in cars for the a/c.  Sounds like you found an interesting read in the trunk of that car.  Your family doesn't sound like they have much compassion for others.  What business is it of theirs that you were able to take a trip to Paris?  People never fail to amaze me & not always in a good way.  You know we are all rooting for you.  Keep us posted.

Mary, did you watch DWTS last night?  It is always hard to see someone go.  It seems the seasons just go so fast.  I love that show no matter who is dancing.  Half the time I've never heard of most of the people but end up liking them.  I think it might come down to Donald & Maria for the two finalists.  I love the British singer, Catherine.  She is pretty, cute & is a good dancer.

My tummy is hollering "lunch, please"!!  Here is another picture!!  What a surprise.

This is a close up of a small portion of a huge boulder along the pathway to Yosemite Falls.  I like rocks!!!!  What can I say, one of the reasons Yosemite is so appealing all those big rocks!!  Same with most of the other places I went last year.

Have a great rest of the day.
Happy reading,
Donna M
