The picture above is from my hike on Thursday with my grandson. The shape of this tree against the sky caught my interest. Have no idea what kind of tree it is.
Sandi, I get Debbie Macomber's newsletter. Lately I have just been skimming it. Aren't her books with the new publisher taking on a more spiritual tone? I will try this one to see what I think. If it is only in hardcover I will get it from the library.
On the news they are talking about all the people without power in the mid-Atlantic states. I really feel sorry for those affected by the storms. I have a friend that was in Chicago last week for a few days to attended her oldest grandsons graduation from Naval Basic Training. I'm curious what she will have to say about the weather.
I have not been real ambitious today but I did get sheets & towels washed & the bed made. Dinner is going to be leftovers as I did not want to go to the store. Tomorrow I must!!!
One of the library books I have is about a women that was raised as a Hasidic Jew. I saw her on TV when the book first came out which I why I wanted to read it. I know next to nothing about the Jewish religion & less than that about Hasidic Jews. I'll tell you more once I get finished. I am about 3/4 the way through. The book was slow in the beginning but is now quite interesting.
Did you hear about that student in Africa that was attacked by a chimp? Apparently he was in a section of the reserve that he was not suppose to go in. People just never learn that there is a reason areas are restricted to the public. I hope he will recover okay.
