vacation post

Just a quick post, I have been reading, but admit, it was too much to write down. We were in the Outer Banks until Sunday night. The weather was great, the house was wonderful and the beach was amazing. I would highly recommend the Outer Banks to anyone, I swear the beach is as pretty as any one. The family stuff all went pretty well. My sister and I are still a bit hesitant. If you remember, we had a big fight at Christmas and I was willing to put it all aside, but I heard her complaining to my other sister on the day before we left, which I have to admit bummed me out a bit. However, other than that, it worked out great. The kids had a great time and my parents seemed to really enjoy it. As Sandi mentioned, my daughter left her stuffed bear at the hotel we stayed at the first night, luckily, they still had it and we were able to pick it up on our way home. We all were very happy as it was one of Maggie's favorites. Mary - I am glad your ankle is feeling better. Sandi - congrats on your anniversary amanda - have a great vacation. Unfortunately, since I didn't take notes, that as much as I remember. I did do a bit of reading, but not as much as I hoped - I read Rachel Gibson's Rescue Me - had heard mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it. Read two Elizabeth Peters books - The Hippopotamus Pool and I dreamed of a Large Cat, both part of the Amelia Peabody series and both very enjoyable. I am now reading a new author - Sandra Byrd's To Die For. Speaking of reading - do we have a challenge for July? Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. Cady
