Hi Ladies,

DonnaM, No I had not heard about the little boy but I haven't watched the news for a few days.  That is just so sad.     I've read a couple of Stella Cameron books but is was years ago.  I remember enjoying them but I can't remember which ones I read.  I agree about potato salad getting better the next day.

Sandi/Donna, My friend never showed up but it was getting late so I figured she wouldn't. I ended up getting a lot read of book two in the S.Jeffries series. I finished it the next morning. My friend finally dropped off the book later but by then I had already started book three in the series and I'm really enjoying it.

Sandi,  I was thinking that you had an elephant on a blanket.  I did wonder how you thought you could ride it but now it makes sense.  My library does have ebooks on the epub format.  I didn't realize that is what you could use to read the Nook.   Good to know.  Did you end up getting ice cream?  What flavor do you usually get.  I always buy chocolate or rocky road and vanilla.

Mary,  103 temps with humidity sounds just miserable.  I don't blame you for whining.  So would I.  I picked up The Last Boyfriend at the library yesterday but I want to read the Singh book first since it is due back soon.  Sorry your brother is still without power.  The longest I've ever been without power was when we had the huge earthquake over twenty years ago. I think the power was out about five or six days. It was not fun without water or electricity but it was October so the weather was very pleasant and we didn't have to suffer with heat.

DonnaH,  I think that is so cool that you have that treetopper.  That is really special.  I have a small table with two chairs that I have given Gavin.  They are forty years old.  My Godfather, who worked in a fiberglass company, made them for me.  The table and chairs are made of blue fiberglass with gold glitter sprinkled in.  They are smooth and look really vintage.  The legs are sturdy and made of wrought iron.  They have been used and abused these last forty years but look nearly brand new.  I never really knew my Godfather.  My dad worked with him in the fiberglass place and left there shortly after I was born.  They didn't keep in touch but he came to the house one day with the table set he had made.  Sadly, he died a few years later from cancer.  It is believed he became sick from the fiberglass company.  Good thing my dad only worked there a year.

Its late and I'm not tired but I had better get to bed anyway.
Have a good Monday.
Margie :)
