Lazy Sunday, 7/8/2012...
Good Afternoon Everyone,
What a lazy day! I tend to do that on a Sunday!! The above picture is in Bryce Canyon. I love the color of some of these. The formations at all the places were just so amazing. We do have so much natural beauty here in the USA A fair warning to all of you I put a lot more pictures from this trip in my Google+ albums! They are public so anyone can see them. I don't ever put all of my pictures here because you would probably all get bored or hate me!!! If you want to see more just go to Photos & anyone can see what is public or I can add you to my circle of friends which would allow you to see all my pictures. After looking at all the photographers pictures I have seen here at Google + I feel even more of a rank amateur! That is okay because I still enjoy taking pictures but it does inspire me to try to better with composition and lighting.
The weather forecast was for increased heat! It has warmed up but not as bad as I thought! Fine with me. However more heat is coming Mary, like you I do not like the heat. It was nice & cool with morning fog so I got up to take my walk early. The sun came out part way through the walk so I had warmed up considerably by the time I was back home.
Yesterday I told you I had bought fresh corn on the cob & finally made the potato salad I had been craving. Dinner was good! I made a pig out of myself. The corn was yummy. The salad tasted so good, probably even better now as potato salad is one of those things that is better with a little aging!! Tonight I think I will just have leftovers as the refrigerator is getting a little crowded.
I'm still reading the Stella Cameron book. It is very good. I took a bit to get into it but now she has me hooked on the story! I have read some of Nevada Barr's books. I need to get another one. They caught my interest because the setting is in National Parks. I especially enjoyed reading the one in Lassen Park because I've been there. Eventually I'll get to the one that is in Yosemite.
I'll leave you with another picture from Bryce Canyon. As you can see from this one there is a big contrast in colors there.
Enjoy what is left of your Sunday.
Happy reading,
Donna M
