DonnaM, Those cut outs in the rock are very cool.  I think I would be a bit scared to go through that tunnel without those cut outs.  Beautiful pictures.  I've only been to the Lake Tahoe area when I was a kid and it was snowing.  My sister has gone for the 4th of July and said it is really nice.  They shoot the fireworks over the lake.   The beach area we took the kids to was actually right off the wharf.  After you walk past the wharf there is a path with stairs down to the water. There was a sandy area where the waves are gentle because of the jetty (sp?) that's way out in the ocean so Gavin was able to walk into it like it it was a lake.  Lots of little kids were there but it wasn't crowded.  There were a couple sea tters in the water.  When he goes with his dad, they go to the "real" beach and he has a blast with the waves but I don't think I could take watching that!  I hope your plans to meet up with your grandkids work out.

Amanda, What a beautiful area behind the house.  I would love spending time there just relaxing and reading.  How lucky you got to stay there.  I love the Olympics.  We should be back from vacation on time to watch opening ceremonies.   I've been to Disney World and it is so cool there with the different parks and all the land so green and lush.  It is its own city.  Loved it!   I love Disneyland too but it is different.  Everything has to be in one place so it is more crowded.  In DW, the rides are spread out between the different parks so it is not as crowded in the Magic Kingdom as it is in Disneyland. Plus you have more to do there with water parks and the DW zoo park.  I remember wanting to get on Star Tours at MK and it wasn't there. Had to go to MGM park (can't recall name).  That was odd to me as I am used to it all in one place. Now with California Adventure land, they have lots more room to grow and add more stuff. 

DonnaH, Since that book, I've tried LM again and did enjoy the books but I stayed away from the MM books.  What do you mean by camouflauge a truck?

I'm still reading the Singh.  It's good but I just have no time and it is due today. Can't renew because it's new so I will have to keep it a couple more days and pay late charges.  I took my car in today for an oil change and they called and said my front brakes are really bad.  Plus I need two tires.  Now I'm out over 500.00!  I have to put it on a ccard I just don't have the money right now since we are leaving next week.
