I'mmmmm back!

Praise the Lord, I think I'm back!  This PC is up and running, slow but up and running!  My a/c is fixed but making horrible sounds but fixed.  Verizon showed up today, two days early; he walked in the door, picked up the phone and said, "What do you mean there's no dial tone?"  And I said, "What?????????"  So he checked everything out and didn't charge me.  We don't know what happened.

I had just pulled in from seeing another lawyer who specializes in bankruptcy.  He can get me out of this mess that my other lawyer put me in for a mere $2100 and I'm allowed to borrow it from someone (I always thought you couldn't borrow money to pay for bankruptcy).  But the best part is that when he discovered that I physically have the title to my car, the credit union can't come after it if it doesn't have a lien stamped on it.  It doesn't!!!!!!  So no more hiding my car at night.

I've been reading historicals b/c I need escape from the present.  Catching up on my TBR pile that way.  Did I tell you that I sold over 100 books, mostly HQ, that I never even opened at the flea market for 20 cents each to fund my a/c repair?  The man said he was full-up now and the rest of the dealers won't touch HQ.

I hope those of you without power now have it back on and that the cold front has come your way.  Believe it or not, Florida was the "cool" spot in the country the last two weeks!  However, I didn't have a/c from Tues until Friday late afternoon and I wouldn't have described it as cool.  I still remember what "hot" was like in PA and wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Besides not having a/c, I also had an urinary tract infection last week.  I'm convinced that if my primary had not called me Tues to go over blood work, I might not be here now.  I was not feeling good at all and really out of it; I probably would have let it go.  When I interrupted her and told her that I didn't feel too good and then what was wrong, she told me to get in there right away and sure, enough that's what showed up.  It took until yesterday for it to clear up.  She said that it was stress-induced.  I never get them and I've had two in the last six weeks!  Coming to love cranberry juice (not).

Wed night I go see George Donaldson of Celtic Thunder in concert at a local Irish pub.  Ask me if I'm excited?????????  Dumb question.

I'll be back when I come back to Earth,

Trudy
