Sunday

Friday was an awful awful day at work.  When Ellen said I could leave I didn't even ask if she was sure I packed up as fast as I could and got!  I really wanted to go to BN to read for a bit, but after I got there I was so tired I only read a chapter and half and headed home.  I intended and sleeping about 2 hours, but slept closer to somewhere between 3 and 4!  I was down and out!  I think stress can do that to a person.

Those of you who knew me when...do you remember I was a huge Debbie Macomber fan?  Did you know she switched publishers and is no longer with Mira?  That's part of the reason I think that the Cedar Cove series ended.  Anyway I really didn't enjoy several of her last books with them, and had the opportunity to read her new book with her new publisher.  I didn't really like it either, and it took me days and days to read it.  I used to be able to devour her books in a day!  The book is called The Inn At Rose Harbor.

Got a surprise on Friday as Richard came home.  He's living here part time but Friday wasn't a day he was scheduled to be here.  He's sick, and not that he wants me to tend to him, but he wanted my food!  LOL!!!  I really wanted him to go the dr yesterday, but did he listen?  NO!  While I was out last night I called to check on him, and he was now running a fever.  I suggested that maybe he call Misty and ask if she would be willing to keep Elijah a bit longer as he wasn't feeling well.  He's still here.  At the moment (it's really early) he's snoring on my couch...why he's not in his bed I've not a clue!

Somehow on Friday Travis hurt his paw and was walking on three legs. Brian and I were hugely concerned and Mike is like he'll live.  He is walking better as of last night, but I did call the vet and have put him on some aspirin.  If he's not really better by Monday afternoon Brian will take him in after he gets out of class.

I did a bit of cleaning yesterday.  Not nearly as much as I need to.  Today I will have to really tackle the kitchen.  With Richard having been here, and my not being home for dinner last night I know it's a disaster and a half!  I did have an empty laundry basket for a couple of hours, but somehow when I clean I tend to find things that need laundering, so in they go!

I had the opportunity to meet Linda Castillo for dinner last night.  There were several of us from my readers group.  Then we went to her book signing.  I wasn't going to buy, but ended up buying books two and three in her mystery series.  Finally found out why she doesn't write for Harlequin anymore, and also why she gave up on signle title romantic suspense.

Well, I better get ready to head out.  I want to see my coffee and donut friends, and get the groceries before it gets too hot!  Last week I had to buy them when it was warm and that was awful!

Hope everyone has a restful Sunday!
