Hi guys! I am sorry I have been missing for a while. It has been a busy several days. Friday Karen and kids came for the afternoon. She wasn't feeling well so she took a nap and the kids and I watched movies and made dessert--chocolate pudding. We ordered pizza for supper and just had a relaxing day. Then Sat. Don and I went to stay overnight at Karen's with the kids. Karen and Jer went to a surprise 30th dinner and party for Jer's brother at the Valley Forge Casino. They all got hotel rooms so they could party into the night. We had a great time with the kids but were pretty tired when we got home Sunday. Naps were in order!
Monday I had my annual mammogram. Afterwards I did a little shopping. Got a new pair of shoes and some t-shirts for the kids. I had planned to catch up on posts last night but my brother called and we had a long chat. (he's the one who had no power for a week.) All is well for now but he likes to talk so we were on the phone for a while.
I did read two books since I last posted. I read Butterfly by Sharon Sala. I love her books and this was no exception. This was an older book of hers that has been in my tbr. I also read The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts and really liked it. It had gotten mixed reviews but I thought it was good. I really like the rapport between the brothers and the romance between Avery and Owen was sweet and funny. Not sure what I will read next. I have two books on hold at the library so perhaps I will read one of them.
Just a note about Lindsay McKenna books. I have read several over the years and some I have really liked and others not so much. Sometimes even our favorite authors write books that we find hard to read for one reason or another.
I did take notes so here goes:
Trudy--glad you enjoyed your concert. You needed a fun night out.
Margie--glad Gavin enjoyed the water. I bet you are excited for Disneyland.
Donna H--I loved Edge of Sight. Did you know it is the first book in a trilogy? It was my favorite of the three but I liked all of them. Congrats on the great news from your doctor!
Amanda--glad your vacation was mostly good. I enjoyed the pictures. Hey, Phils are on a winning streak!
Donna M--as always I am enjoying your pictures. I was fascinated as well with the southwestern terrain when we visted out there.
Cady--I hope your date with Luke was fun for both of you.
Sandi--I hope things are going better for you at work.
Well, that catches me up for now. I hope everyone is having a good week.
Mary
