Sunday afternoon

Hi everyone!

Not much to report today. We had the worst of this heat wave yesterday when we topped out at 103 degrees! The temp is not as high today but the humidity still is up there. Tomorrow we are supposed to be getting some relief. I stay indoors in the a/c (which I don't like but appreciate) as I hate the heat. I do have cabin fever. I would rather deal with the winter cold. At least you can bundle up and go outside. Sorry to whine but July is my least favorite month of the year. :-(

As far as I know my brother still does not have power. I haven't heard from him today yet. He has been staying in a motel but that got old fast.

Donna M--Don does do some cooking and he is pretty good at it. He enjoys doing it so that helps. My late dad was like your ex. He just could not cook except for heating up a can of soup.

I am reading a book in the Nevada Barr 'Anna Pigeon' series called Endangered Species. It is good so far and a fast read. I've been going through books in my tbr and reading a lot of series books I have fallen behind in reading. I will probably read The Last Boyfriend when I finish the Barr book. I have some other books on hold at the library but it will be a while before they are ready.
