Good evening, ladies. . .
Donna, what fabulous pictures. I can't even begin to fathom what it must have taken to make those tunnels and "blow-holes" through the rock.
Margie, I know what you mean about not being able to read that book. I trucked through it to the end because I knew there would be a HEA, and I didn't want my last memory of the book to be what she was going through. But I'll certainly never read it again. The LM book I read this time "Shadows from the Past" was actually not too bad. There were no really ugly scenes. It was almost sedate considering who wrote it. But, like I said before, the h's father really irritated me with his wussy inability to stand up to his wife.
I'm half through reading the "Edge of Sight" by Roxanne St. Claire, and I'm really enjoying it. I started it last night and I'm already on page 200. The H has terrible scarring on one side of his face from shrapnel, and has lost the sight in one eye (before the story began) so that colors his character. H & h knew each other before, had a hot affair, then he got deployed, scarred, and this is where the story starts, with her witnessing a murder and needing protection.
All last week we had temps in the 30's C. Yesterday morning we woke up to a very nice cooling shower, and it's been raining fairly steadily ever since. Tomorrow is forecast for cloudy, but no rain, and Wed. it's back up into the 30's. As we are going strawberry picking tomorrow evening, I really hope the rain is over, even though we did need it.
I've got another truck to camouflage for my brother-in-law. I'll get a good start on it tomorrow morning, and hopefully have it done by the end of the week.
